Bella Viva's Zante Currants are dried from the highest quality Black Corinth Grape. They are first known to be cultivated in ancient Greece on the Ionian Island of Zakynthos or "Zante," the English translation. Famous for their intense, rich flavor and small size, they make the perfect ingredient for baked goods, granola, and yogurt. Our dried Zante Currants are so good we prefer to eat them right out of the bag.

Freshness and Sweetness ... Tasty!!

My experience with BellaViva was definitely a great one! The box arrived in a reasonable period of time based on estimated shipping/arrival dates. The currants are very tasty and very sweet, and seem to be very fresh! Also, they were well-packed in the box, yet not so tightly that they had to be pried apart. (In my experience with Whole Foods, the bulk currants are often clumped together and have gotten far too smooshed together, which makes it difficult to separate them for cooking.). PLUS: My order from BellaViva was cheaper per pound!

Wonderful!

Husband enjoyed these so much that I had to order a couple more bags. Sweet, chewy, no sugar & they don't stick together.!

Healthy Snack

Sweet, moist and tasty! I like them either as is, or with cold or hot cereal. I would imagine baking with them in place of raisins would add distinctive flavor.
