Organic Dried Tomatoes

Maybe it was my fault? However, the description of these tomatoes said "Tomato lovers can snack on these delicious treats right out of the bag!" ,. If you do this you will break a few teeth- these are hard as rocks, they need to be reconstituted in hot water for at least 20 min. and then if you even wanted to snack on them, they don't taste good like that, all mushy and little flavor. I am looking for organic SD tomatoes- I can't have the sulfites and didn't want the high sodium, and use the SD tomatoes all the time. This was the closest. Even though it said Dried tomatoes- the description was: "Tomato lovers can snack on these delicious treats right out of the bag!"- I assumed they would be perfect and similar. They would then be perfect for salads and snacking. I don't know who is writing these reviews, maybe they never tasted the difference. I have since put these in sauce ( I bought 2 lbs!) and they disappear in flavor. NOTHING! An expensive nothing in texture or taste. I wrote to customer service about this. No response. Don't waste your money if you are looking for that clean, tangy flavor like SD tomatoes. These are dried tomatoes and they took the floor out. As a matter of fact, this surprises me, as I have dried my own tomatoes in my dehydrator and they taste awesome and I wouldn't break a tooth. Really disappointed. I am in the food business and know what flavor and quality, texture should taste like from that point of view in addition to just being a consumer. How did they give so many 5 star reviews?

I�ve found it extremely difficult to find organic salt and sulfur free sundried tomatoes and these marked every box. Great quality too!

I was a little disappointed when I first bit into one of these dried tomatoes because it was break-your-teeth hard. Fortunately, my order came with instructions for rehydrating (sprinkle with water and seal tightly overnight), and once I did that they became my new favorite snack. I love that there's no added salt and that they're organic. Also, I was happy to see that a serving size is 30 pieces because now that I'm addicted to them, 30 doesn't seem like the huge amount I thought at first!
