Excellent product. Shipped fast. Tasted great. Crisp and chewy. I like that these are truly clean with no additional chemicals added. Great company and service.
I flat out love the non-organic version of these, they look like the picture for the most part (more tan than white though), and they're pretty crisp, they fall apart in the mouth easily. The organic version I just received does not look like the picture, they're darker and chewy, more leather like, more difficult to break down. Maybe it was just the batch, I'll try drying them out and see if that helps.
My daughter loves these tart apples. The dried apples we can find elsewhere are very sweet and she really doesn't like that. This time they weren't as cripsy as usual, which is a little disappointing to her. But I ordered the 4 pound box which isn't tightly sealed and it's been very hot and humid around here. So I'm assuming that's why.
My son is a picky eater, but he devoured them! We'll be ordering more for sure!
I had been just loving the Bella Viva Organic Dried Tart Apples, so much so that I was purchasing them by the box. But the last boxes I ordered are different and disappointing. The slices are much thicker and tough, and many of the slices have partially or wholly brown skins as if they were badly bruised or were beginning to turn before they were dried. I'm actually a bit stunned by the difference between the previous boxes I ordered and these last two. I contacted customer service about this, but never heard back. Guess I'll be looking elsewhere from dried apples.
