If you had the good fortune to spend time in California’s Central Valley last month, you just enjoyed a dramatic show of white Almond blossoms, signaling the end of the dormant winter season. Now, those billowy white clusters of flowers are being joined by pinky-white and deep pink blossoms, telling us that Nectarines, Peaches, Apricots and Cherries are getting ready to be pollinated by the sweet honey bees. It’s a stunning site to see and if you haven’t checked it out yet, there’s still time!
Last month, we shared Bella Viva Orchards’ very own Blossom Calendar. To make sure you don’t miss out, we’re giving it to you again so you’ll have an easy guide to understanding what’s blooming ‘round here! You don’t need a treasure map to locate an orchard in bloom. While you can see miles and miles of the splendor from the highway, we’d strongly suggest that you slow down, get out on our country roads, feel connected and make a memorable and informative event of it. Enjoy the sites and sounds (of those honey bees) from the roadside to protect the integrity of the trees and their growing environments, grab breakfast or lunch and visit our country store while you’re here. It’s a spectacular thing to experience and we never get tired of it! Once you do it, we believe you’ll want to make an annual event of it!

If you live too far away to actually come out for a visit, no worries! You can get an idea of what’s going on around here by checking out that Blossom Calendar. Think of it as a virtual field trip of sorts. You can also easily extend that virtual field trip by doing some healthy online shopping with us.
Back to the trees in bloom: the early- and long-blooming Certified Organic Almonds are still showing off their white clusters of flowers. The sweet smell of the Almond blossoms and their neighboring stone fruit trees are all around. Those beautiful aromas remind us of the good things in life. Even if you’re not here to experience that fragrance we invite you to stop, close your eyes and take in a nice deep breath. Imagine yourself in the orchards in bloom and take a moment to let yourself slow down.
About those California-grown Certified Organic Almonds: Almonds have held their place as California’s top crop, they’re our state’s top agricultural export and they’re the highest-ranking specialty crop export for our entire country. All those superlatives are assigned to a nut that’s humble, accessible and regal at the same time. We feel so fortunate to have Almonds and their other fruit and nut cousins in our midst!

We invite you to celebrate the long blooming season of our Certified Organic Raw Almonds by getting some onto your table, bumping up your snacking routine or picking some up as gifts for those family and friends. From now through the end of March, pick up any quantity of our Certified Organic Almonds for 36 percent off, or just $9.91 per pound. It’s a great savings that we hope you’ll take advantage of – for the sake of the showy blossoming season, for your health or just because it’s a fun and tasty addition to your diet. While you’re shopping, we invite you to enjoy 10 percent off Bella Viva Orchards’ Certified Organic Brazil Nuts, Certified Organic Tropical Trail Mix, Certified Organic Dried Pitted Prunes, Certified Organic Dried Yellow Peach Slices and Certified Organic California Apricots.
