At Bella Viva Orchards, every month and every season brings us countless reasons to be grateful. Every spring we count our blessings for the trees that bear fruit and will nourish so many people. It’s a time when we feel gratitude for our family, our friends and our employees. Another cause to celebrate is that we just officially received our Regenerative Organic Certification! Over the past several months we’ve talked about our regenerative growing practices like increasing soil fertility by growing cover crops, releasing beneficial insects, mulching tree and grass cuttings right back into the earth in our orchards . We’ve been doing this for many years because we’ve long held the belief that we can make the earth better through farming. Fast forward to today…we are celebrating our official Regenerative Certification and alignment with an organization that shares our passion for regenerating the earth and empowering the communities that produce our food. We believe it’s time to change the narrative from: How do we sustain the earth? to How do we regenerate the earth?.
Included in our orchards that earned this designation are our very own Certified Organic Yellow Peaches, our Certified Organic Prunes and our Certified Organic California Apricots. Yep, we’ve been out in our orchards for decades taking care of the earth and seeking to regenerate her through our practices.
We encourage you to take a moment to celebrate the very special milestone of this designation by doing your own part to help heal the earth. She’s been through a lot of years of demand, wouldn’t you say?! We encourage you to eat organic foods when you can, support organic farmers and manufacturers and take measures such as recycling and composting when you can. Together we can make the earth a better place for generations to come.
